11.12.1. Vehicle 12V battery
Do not operate the vehicle if the fluid in the battery is low. Low battery fluid can cause a higher load on the battery which can generate heat, reduce battery life, and in some cases lead to an explosion.
The 12-volt battery (1) is located in the luggage area. The exact location depends on whether or not a spare wheel/tyre is fitted. To access the 12-volt battery, raise the luggage floor board and remove the tool holder (s), or if an access panel is fitted, raise the access panel as illustrated.
For a maintenance free battery it is not required to check the fluid level. However, NISSAN recommends to have the battery checked periodically at a NISSAN dealer or qualified workshop.
