To receive your Nissan charge key, order it for free on your Nissan Charge app. After receiving your key, you can link it to your Nissan Charge account by adding the unique identification code on the back of your key.

GENERAL QUESTIONS

HOW DO I REGISTER/OPEN AN ACCOUNT?

Download the Nissan Charge app from Apple app store* / Google Play store*.
Click on create account if you don’t have one.
Enter your email, password, and click on signup.
Enter the confirmation code sent to your email.
Fill your details -> First Name, Last name, and the country you live in
Select your Nissan EV model.
Add a payment method (bank card/Apple or Google pay)
And subscribe to our newsletter by clicking on “Yes, please” in the screen of “Get offers & discounts."

WHERE CAN I USE NISSAN CHARGE?

As a Nissan Charge user, you can access more than 850,000 charging points* (*as of Sept. ’24 and will increase) available across 27 EU countries. The 27 countries are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK. WHO CAN USE THIS SERVICE?

All owners of a Nissan EVs can use the Nissan Charge app for free. This provision also applies to owners of used Nissan EVs.

I BOUGHT A USED NISSAN. HOW DO I SUBSCRIBE TO THE SERVICE?

Similar to that of a new Nissan EV owner, follow the below simple steps to sign up for Nissan Charge:

Download the Nissan Charge app from Apple app store* / Google play store*.
Click on create account if you don’t have one.
Enter your email, password, and click on signup.
Enter the confirmation code sent to your email.
Fill your details -> First Name, Last name, and the country you live in
Select your Nissan EV model.
Add a payment method (bank card/apple or google pay)
And subscribe to our newsletter by clicking on “Yes, please” in the screen of “Get offers & discounts."

How to add a payment method?

Go to the Account tab in the app.
Click on Payment methods.
Click on Add a payment method.
Enter your debit or credit card details.
Alternatively, you can use Google Pay or Apple Pay.

CAN I MANAGE MULTIPLE NISSAN EVS FROM A SINGLE NISSAN CHARGE ACCOUNT?

A Nissan Charge key typically can only be linked to a single user account but multiple keys can be managed per user account. A family can use multiple charging keys as long as they are attached to the same user account.

HOW DO I ORDER A NISSAN CHARGE KEY?

Go to the Account tab in the app.
Click on “Get a charging card” and click on “Nissan Charging Card”.
Click on “Add to cart” and then view cart by clicking on supermarket trolley icon on the top left.
Add your delivery address.
And, place your free Nissan Charge key order!

HOW DO I REGISTER A NISSAN CHARGE KEY?

Go to the Account tab
Click on Charging cards.
Click on Activate charging card.
Enter the card ID on the back of your Nissan Charge key.
And, click on Activate charging card.

CAN I HAVE MULTIPLE NISSAN CHARGE KEYS ACTIVATED IN THE SAME ACCOUNT?

Multiple keys can be activated to the same account, but the same key cannot be activated in multiple accounts. You can order an additional charging key from your profile, fees may apply.

SESSION AND CHARGING STATIONS

HOW DO I CHECK THE AVAILABILITY OF A CHARGING STATION BEFORE I GO THERE?

Click on “Available now” icon on the “charge” tab of Nissan Charge app to only look at charging points that are available.
Further click on the toggle bar icon beside “Available now” icon to avail more filters menu.
Here, you can filter chargers by availability, charging speed, start charging type and plug type.
You can also filter the chargers based on your preferred operators under the additional settings of the same filters’ menu.
If you are sharing your location with us, the app will automatically locate the nearest charger that fits your needs.
After you select a charger of your choice, you can swipe up for more charger related info.

HOW DO I START OR STOP A CHARGING SESSION?

Once you reach the charger, you can start/stop the charging session using your Nissan Charge key.
You can further start/stop the charging session via the app by clicking on “Charge and pay” for selected chargers.
Any way you start your charging session, you will be able to see live information of your charging session on most of the charging points in Nissan Charge.
Invoices will be sent to you at the end of each session from your selected payment method visible in the “Activity” tab.

CAN I CONNECT TO THE STATIONS WITH THE APP IF I LOSE OR FORGET MY KEY?

It all depends on the type of charging station. Some stations are only equipped with an RFID reader, hence, cannot be controlled via the app. While all the charging points shown in Nissan Charge App can be accessed via Nissan Charge key, only around 70% of them can be accessed via the app remotely.

You can look for the stations that accept remote start/stop (via Nissan Charge App) by filtering for them in filters section and start charging type>App

CAN I CHARGE AT ALL STATIONS?

You can charge at all stations visible on the app map. However, you should always filter the stations by availability, power type, and connector type for finding the right charging point that fits your needs.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO PAY?

You only pay for charging sessions, based on the number of kWh consumed or the time spent at the station (depending on the policy of the charging point operator). Detailed information on the pricing policy applied for each charging point is displayed by clicking on the icon marking the station and by swiping up on the map of the Nissan Charge app.

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY CHARGING SESSIONS?

Payment for your charging sessions will be automatically deducted from your registered payment method via linked Nissan Charge key. Invoices with a clear breakdown of your charging session will be sent to you at the end of each session, and you can review the invoices of your different charging sessions in the 'Activity' tab.

USER ACCOUNT

HOW LONG DO YOU KEEP DATA ABOUT ACCOUNTS AND CHARGING SESSIONS?

Your data is kept for 12 months after your account is deleted.

DO YOU HAVE A CUSTOMER SUPPORT?

Our customer service is always ready to help you. You can report an issue by 2 different ways in the Nissan Charge App:

You can report passively by clicking on the specific charging point where you faced an issue, scrolling down, clicking on “report issue”, and specifying the issue type. Your feedback this way will help our Nissan charge team to analyse the charging point in question and correct it accordingly.
You can also interact with our customer support agent directly about your charging emergency via chat by going to “Account” tab in the app, clicking on “support” and “chat support” accessible 24/7 and 365 days. You can also check out our FAQ section available in the “support” section of the “Account” tab.

Nissan Charge is available to UK residents 18+ only. To use Nissan Charge, download the free Nissan Charge app, create an account and register your payment details and Nissan Charge key. Requires a smartphone with compatible iOS or Android operating system and a SIM card with a data plan from a mobile service provider. Use of the Nissan Charge app is subject to mobile network coverage. Only use the Nissan Charge app when safe to do so in accordance with the Highway Code. (2) The range data is obtained from laboratory tests, in accordance with European regulations, and is intended to compare different types of vehicles. This information does not relate to a specific vehicle and is not part of the offer. These figures may be different from those obtained in real driving situations. Optional equipment, maintenance, driving style and non-technical factors such as weather conditions may influence the official results. The data were compiled under the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP).

(3) The figures shown correspond to 63 kWh and 87 kWh batteries (Nissan ARIYA). The charging speed and time depend on a number of factors, including the type and condition of the charging station, the temperature of the battery, and the ambient temperature around the charging station. In cold climates, it may be necessary to use a built-in battery heater to increase the speed of fast charging. The indicated fast charging time is valid for a CCS 2 charging station. The Nissan ARIYA is equipped with backup devices to protect the battery in case of quick recharges very close together. The time required for consecutive fast recharges may be longer if the battery temperature activates the backup device.
