9.18.9.4. Emergency Lane Assist (ELA)
When a curve or strong cross wind exceeds the capabilities of the Steering Assist and your vehicle approaches either the left or the right side of the traveling lane, the steering wheel vibrates, a chime sounds and the ELA indicator (yellow) on the vehicle information display flashes. Then, the ELA system automatically applies the brakes for a short period of time to help assist the driver to avoid departing the lane and to return the vehicle to the center of the traveling lane.
