Dare to Defy is a three-part documentary series available on Prime Video.
It follows Richard Whitehead MBE and Adele Roberts as they embark on a powerful journey to transform sport, breaking down barriers for the disabled, LGBTQ+ and other underrepresented communities by creating the most inclusive running event ever.
Drawing from their own personal experiences and meeting inspiring individuals who dare to defy their own sporting expectations, the series is an emotional journey that reconsiders what it truly means to belong in sport.
1: Reinvention
Richard visits the Nissan Formula E Team to understand how motorsport is embracing technology to become more inclusive for the disabled community.
2: Taking Control
Adele visits Manchester City’s ‘City in the Community charity team and LGBTQ+ supporters’ group, Canal Street Blues, to learn more about how they are working together to break down barriers for the LGBTQ+ community.
3: Make It Happen
In the final episode, Richard travels to Japan to see how a visually impaired running race is breaking ground for disabled runners, taking inspiration to create their own inclusive running event, Run to the Future.
