6.7.2. NISSAN Anti-Theft System (NATS)
The NISSAN Anti-Theft System (NATS) will not allow EV (Electric Vehicle) system to start without the use of the registered NATS key.
If the power switch cannot be placed in the READY to drive position using the registered NATS key, it may be due to interference caused by:
Another NATS key.
Automated toll road device.
Automated payment device.
Other devices that transmit similar signals.
Place the power switch in the READY to drive position using the following procedure:
Remove any items that may be causing the interference away from the NATS Key.
Leave the power switch in the ON position for approximately 5 seconds.
Place the power switch in the OFF position, and wait approximately 10 seconds.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 again.
Place the power switch in the READY to drive position.
Repeat the steps above until all possible interference is eliminated.
If this procedure allows the power switch to be placed in the READY to drive position, NISSAN recommends placing the registered NATS Key separate from other devices to avoid interference.
