4.3.2.3. [Driver Assistance] (where fitted)

Use the image or image switches and the <OK> button to change the status, warnings or turn on or off any of the systems/warnings displayed in the [Driver Assistance] menu. The following menu options are available:

  • [Steering Assist] (where fitted)

  • [Lane Assist]

    Gives access to the following items:

    • [Emergency Lane]

    • [Advanced Lane]

  • [Blind Spot]

    Gives access to the following items:

    • [Warning] (where fitted)

    • [Intervention] (where fitted)

  • [Emergency Brake] (Intelligent Emergency Braking (IEB) system) (where fitted)

    You can turn IEB on or off.

  • [Traffic Sign Assist] (where fitted)

  • [Parking Aids] (where fitted)

    Gives access to the following items:

    • [Moving Object] (where fitted)

      Allows user to turn the Moving Object Detection (MOD) ON/OFF.

    • [Front] (where fitted)

      Allows user to turn the front sonar sensors ON/OFF.

    • [Rear]

      Allows user to turn the rear sonar sensors ON/OFF.

    • [Distance] (where fitted)

      Allows user to select the sonar sensor’s detection distance ([Far], [Medium] or [Near]).

    • [Display] (where fitted)

      Allows user to turn the sonar system or the Rear Sonar System (RSS) display ON/OFF.

    • [Volume]

      Allows user to select the volume of the sonar tone ([High], [Medium] or [Low]).

  • [Rear Cross Traffic Alert] (where fitted)

    You can use this setting to turn RCTA on or off. (For more information, see

  • [Driver Attention Alert] (where fitted)

    The [Driver Attention Alert] option can be used to activate or deactivate the Intelligent Driver Alertness (IDA) feature (where fitted). This system is able to detect whether the driver is displaying a lack of attention, or is distracted. It does this by monitoring driving style, and steering behaviour, and it notes deviations from the normal pattern. If the system detects that driver attention is decreasing, the system uses an audible and visual warning to suggest that the driver takes a break.

  • [Timer Alert]

    Allows user to adjust the Timer Alert or reset.

    • (Current Time)/(Set Time)

    • Reset

  • [Low Temp. Alert]

    This allows you to turn on or off the low temperature warning.

  • [Chassis Control]

    This allows you to turn on or off Intelligent Trace Control (for more information, see
