7.17.2. How to enable/disable the Lane Assist system
- Lane Assist system OFF indicator (on the vehicle information display)
- Vehicle information display
- Steering-wheel-mounted controls (left side)

Perform either of the following steps to enable or disable the Lane Assist system.
Shortcut Menu
Type A:
The Lane Assist system can be turned ON/OFF using [Driver Assist Custom] and [Custom Mode Setup].
Type B
Push the Shortcut button (4) on the steering switch to display [Shortcut Menu].
Select [Emergency Lane] and push to turn the system on or off.

Settings
Push the
button until [Settings] appears in the vehicle information display and then push the <OK> button. Use the up and down buttons to select [Driver Assistance]. Then push the <OK> button.Select [Lane Assist] and push the <OK> button.
Select [Emergency Lane] and push the <OK> button to turn the system on or off.
When the [Emergency Lane] is turned off, the Lane Assist system OFF indicator appears.

You can set the [Advanced Lane] setting using the [Settings] menu in the vehicle information display.
[Advanced Lane] only functions when the [Emergency Lane] setting is ON.
For Type A:
When [Driver Assist Custom] setting is ON, [Lane Assist] cannot be adjusted through the [Settings] menu. To adjust [Lane Assist] setting when [Driver Assist Custom] is ON, go to the [Custom Mode Setup] menu in the [Shortcut Menu].

The ON/OFF setting of [Advanced Lane] will be kept even if the engine is restarted.
The [Emergency Lane] setting will be automatically turned on each time the engine is restarted.
Even if the Lane Assist system is disabled in the [Settings] menu, the Lane Assist system will automatically be turned on when the Steering Assist system (where fitted) is active.
After that, when the Steering Assist system stops operating, the Lane Assist system state returns to the state before the Steering Assist system operation.
Applied road conditions:
[Emergency Lane]: Lane assist on the road with solid line
[Advanced Lane]: Lane assist on the road with dashed line.
Warning function will be automatically turned on each time the engine is restarted.
