7.35.6. How to update the map data
The map data used for the TSA system can be updated by downloading a new map data to a USB memory device and installing it in the vehicle.
For map data update, the following equipment are necessary:
A USB hub with an external power for connecting the USB memory device to the vehicle
A USB memory device with a minimum of 8GB storage space
A personal computer with Internet access to download a new map database
For detailed specification and recommended products, please contact a NISSAN dealer.
The USB port (1) can be found in the fuse box. Note that this USB port cannot be used for charging.
Perform the following steps to update the map data:
(Visit website or consult a NISSAN dealer for details.)
Confirm the map version * on the vehicle and check if a new version is available at the website.
If a new version is available, connect the USB hub to the vehicle. Then, save the map information to the USB memory.
Download the map data from the website.
Save the map data to the vehicle.

*: The map version can be confirmed as follows:
Example: 23.Q1.001
- First 2 digits: 23 (last 2 digits of the year: 2023)
- Second 2 digits: Q1 (Quarter 1, from January to March)
- Last 3 digits: 001 (version number, from 1 to 366)
The vehicle information display cannot be operated while the map is being updated.
The map data should be updated while the engine is running to prevent discharge of the 12-volt battery.
When the 12 V battery is changed in an area where there is no GNSS signal, e.g. underground parking, the engine/e-Power system must be restarted where there is GNSS signal (for destinations in countries where there is no connectivity.
