7.17.4. System temporarily unavailable
Condition A:
The warning and assist functions of the Lane Assist system are not designed to work under the following conditions:
When you operate the lane change signal and change the travelling lanes in the direction of the signal. (The Lane Assist system will be deactivated for approximately 2 seconds after the lane change signal is turned off).
When the vehicle speed lowers to less than the operation speed.
After the above conditions have finished and the necessary operating conditions are satisfied, the warning and assist functions will resume.
Condition B:
The assist function of the Lane Assist system is not designed to work under the following conditions (warning is still functional):
When the brake pedal is depressed or if the vehicle decelerates strongly.
When the steering wheel is turned as far as necessary for the vehicle to change lanes.
When the vehicle is accelerated during the Lane Assist system operation.
When the Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) approach warning occurs (where fitted).
When the hazard warning flashers are operated.
When driving on a curve at high speed.
When the vehicle is making a sharp turn.
When the Intelligent Emergency Brake operates.
When the Blind Spot Intervention (BSI) operates.
When the ESP system (except Traction Control System (TCS) function) or ABS operates.
After the above conditions have finished and the necessary operating conditions are satisfied, the Lane Assist system application of the brakes will resume.
Condition C:
If the ESP system is turned OFF, the Lane Assist system will be turned off automatically, the “Currently Unavailable ESP OFF” warning message will appear and the Lane Assist indicator (yellow) will illuminate in the vehicle information display.
When the ESP system turns ON again and the necessary operating conditions are satisfied, the Lane Assist system application of the brakes will resume.
Condition D:
If one of the following messages appears in the vehicle information display and the Lane Assist indicator illuminates in the vehicle information display, the Lane Assist system will be turned off automatically:
[Temporarily Disabled Camera Blocked See Owner’s Manual]: When the front camera is blocked. Always keep the area near the front camera clean.
[Currently Unavailable Front Camera High Temperature]: If the vehicle is parked in direct sunlight under high temperature conditions (over approximately 40°C (104°F)) and then the Lane Assist system is turned on, the Lane Assist system may be deactivated automatically and the Lane Assist indicator illuminates.
[Currently Not Available]: When the direction of the front camera is significantly misaligned. Have the system checked. It is recommended you visit a Nissan dealer for this service.
