8.19.1.1. How to enable/disable the Intelligent Driver Alertness system warning
- Steering-wheel-mounted control (left side)
- Vehicle information display
Perform either of the following steps to enable or disable the Intelligent Driver Alertness system.
Shortcut Menu
The Intelligent Driver Alertness system can be turned ON/OFF using [Driver Assist Custom] and [Custom Mode Setup].

When [Driver Assist Custom] setting is ON, Driver Attention Alert cannot be adjusted through the [Settings] menu. To adjust Driver Attention Alert setting when [Driver Assist Custom] is ON, go to the [Custom Mode Setup] menu in the [Shortcut Menu].

button on the steering wheel until [Settings] is shown on the Vehicle Information Display.Use the

button to select [Driver Assistance]. Then push <OK>.Select [Driver Attention Alert] and push <OK>.
Intelligent Driver Alertness system will automatically be turned on when the engine is restarted.
Intelligent Driver Alertness system will automatically be turned on when the hybrid system is restarted.
The setting will be retained even if the engine is restarted.
As long as the Steering Assist system (where fitted) or ProPILOT Assist system (where fitted) is activated the Intelligent Driver Alertness system will be deactivated. Turning off the Steering Assist or ProPILOT system reactivates the Intelligent Driver Alertness system.
